About Us
I have been teaching for nearly two decades and truly love helping my students achieve success. When my daughter was in first grade I noticed she was struggling to learn to read. I tried all the traditional teaching methods I knew and she continued to struggle. She was later diagnosed with Dyslexia and the educational psychologist recommended an Orton Gillingham tutoring approach for her. Around the same time, my other daughter was diagnosed with Dysgraphia. I became passionate about learning as much as I could about Dyslexia and Dysgraphia so I could help my daughters as well as other families. I decided to become certified in the Orton Gillingham approach as this approach has been proven to be the most successful way to help Dyslexic and Dysgraphic children learn to read and write. Since the start of this journey, I have had the joy of not only seeing my daughters regain their confidence and learn to read and write successfully but have also had the privilege of experiencing this with the families I work with.
